Powder or tablets, usually white, but can also vary through yellow to brown.

Orally.
Smoked (in 'ice' form).
Injected.

Possession:
Up to 7 years imprisonment and/or a fine.

Supply:
Up to life imprisonment and/or a fine.

 

EFFECTS/SIGNS OF USE

  • Violent behaviour, confused thinking
  • Alternating moods, aggressive behaviour
  • Abundance of energy
  • Jerky movements
  • Dry mouth,no appetite
  • Sleeplessness, exhaustion
  • Toxic psychosis
  • Folded wraps of paper about 6-7 cm square when unfolded
  • Needles/Syringes

 

DANGERS/RISKS

  • Ovedose leading to convulsions, circulatory & respiratory collapse, coma & death
  • Hallucinations, delusions, panic, paranoia, heart failure
  • Damaged blood, vessels
  • AIDS/Hepatitis (if shared injecting)
  • Wound botulism if injecting
